“Where Do GHOSTS Go? When Their HOME Is Destroyed” from Paranormal Nightmare TV Season 17, Episode 9, delves into the eerie occurrences experienced by residents in a house near the site of a former asylum and jail.

The homeowners report various paranormal activities, such as strange growls, unexplained smells of sulfur, shadow sightings, and physical sensations like taps on the body. These experiences are particularly concentrated in specific areas of the house, such as the basement and the laundry room, which are described as having a heavy and oppressive atmosphere.
The investigators, Josh, Rocky, and Sean, attempt to communicate with the spirits believed to be inhabiting the house through EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) sessions. They capture several instances of apparent interactions, including responses to direct questions and manipulation of objects. A recurring theme is the spirit of “Matthew,” who may be a residual haunting from the nearby defunct asylum, suggesting that his spirit found refuge in this nearby house after the asylum was demolished.
The episode is punctuated by attempts to cleanse the house and provide peace to both the living residents and the spirits, with a focus on ensuring that any entities are not malevolent and trying to help them find rest.
